spark in my heart

SPARK IN MY LIFE

You're the spark in my life.

I am your husband. You are my wife.

I give to you and you give to me.

This is the place I want us to be.

I don't really need you as such per se'.

But it's a comfort knowing you're here ever day.

Never once did you give up on me.

You were there the help me understand, to help me see.

There were times when clearly I was wrong.

Thank God tho', those times didn't last long.

Oh sure we've been around the corner a time or two.

But I know our love is tried and true.

You were there to catch me when I fell.

Not once during those times did I hear you yell.

When I needed some warm and tender love.

My arms encircled your body like a good fitting glove.

You're witty and you're funny.

I enjoy being with you honey.

Of me, you are very much a part.

For you see Dear, you're the Spark in my heart.

your love pierced my heart

Arrow through the heart

with this 'ring' I declare

SWEETHEART YOU ARE

You are the lamp that lights my soul.

You are the half that makes me whole.

You are the bell that rings for me.

You are the bird that sings to me.

You are my moon, my stars, my sun.

You are my one and only one.

My spirit fills with laughter true,

When I'm entertained by a playful you.

The tests of time we have withstood.

Our marriage is based on what's right and good.

Maybe it hasn't always been clear sailing.

But our love for each other is truly unfailing.

There are ties that bind us together.

Their knots are tight though light as a feather.

I'm happy knowing you and I are a 'we'.

'We' have character, strength, and unity.

Abundant blessings we have seen.

When by your side, I feel like a queen.

Now and again we've made a mistake.

There's more to it. There is give and take.

There is loving and forgiving.

It's about life and earnestly living.

In honour of our marriage Dear

I pray you stay by my side for another year.

wedding bells for me and my man

THANKS DEAR

I see a deeper understanding grow

As the days, months, years come and go.

I relied upon God’s wisdom to marry you.

It was through Him I’d learn to love, I knew.

As I sit here in prayerful contemplation

I realize how very thankful I am to the Lord

That we took time to get to know . . . You and me

As the . . . One . . . God meant for us to be.

I took that leap of faith, for believing

Only the best would come from our union.

Our marriage may have brought out the worst in us;

We didn’t stop there though,

We fought the good fight as it states in 1Timothy 6:11 & 12

Because of this, we brought out the best in each other too.

I’m so thankful, Dear, I have you to love.

Thankful I am to the Lord, you love me.

What is left to say?

I thank the Lord. He sent you my way.

I thank Him for this, ‘our special’ day.

I thank Him for ‘our marriage’.

I thank the Lord, for ‘us’ in every way.
